Frequently Asked Questions
How does Difuzzion deliver content?
Unlike platforms that store everything on a big central server, Difuzzion works more like a community relay. When you watch a video or listen to a track, small pieces of that content are sent to you from other users who already have it cached on their devices. Once you have those pieces, your device automatically helps pass them along to other people who want to watch or listen to the same thing. The more people share a piece of content, the faster and more reliably it loads for everyone. This model is called peer-to-peer (P2P), and it's what makes Difuzzion different — the community itself powers the network.
Are my messages private?
Yes — your direct messages are protected with end-to-end encryption. This means that the message is scrambled on your device before it's sent, and only the person you're chatting with has the key to unscramble it. Nobody else — not even the Difuzzion team — can read your private conversations. Keep in mind that this encryption only applies to direct messages. Public interactions like comments, likes, and reposts are visible to other users as expected.
How do I cash out my Stars?
Head to your Wallet and tap the withdrawal option. Note that withdrawals are only available for users who have unlocked and activated monetisation features. Enter the amount of Stars you'd like to cash out and submit the request. The Difuzzion team will review it and process the payment through Stripe (a trusted global payment processor). You'll receive a notification once the money is on its way. The entire process is transparent — you can see the status of your withdrawal at any time in your transaction history.
What is PRO mode?
PRO is a monthly subscription that costs 1,000★. It unlocks three key features:
- Pin up to 3 pieces of content — the network will always make sure other users are sharing your pinned content, so it's always available even when you're offline.
- Download any content you've fully watched or listened to, saving it directly to your device.
- PRO badge displayed on your profile so others can see you support the platform.
How do promotions work?
Promotions let you pay Stars to boost your content's visibility. You set a budget and choose targeting options like language. Your content is then shown to a wider audience across the platform. Every time someone views your promoted content, a small amount is deducted from your budget. Creators whose feeds display your promotion earn a share of that cost — so promotions benefit both the promoter and the community. All promotions are reviewed by the team before they go live.
How do levels work?
Every user starts at Level 1. By completing missions and their tasks, you earn XP (experience points). As your XP accumulates, your level goes up. Each new level requires more XP than the previous one, so progression becomes a bigger challenge over time — but you also unlock better rewards, new mission types, and access to advanced features like live streaming (Level 10) and monetisation (Level 20). Your level is displayed on your profile for everyone to see.
Is my identity safe on the network?
Difuzzion uses direct peer-to-peer connections to transfer content between users. This means that the devices involved in a transfer can see each other's IP addresses — just like with any other P2P technology. However, the signaling server that coordinates these connections never reveals your username, profile, or any personal details to the other side. If a direct connection isn't possible (for example, due to strict network settings), traffic is routed through a TURN relay server so the transfer can still happen. There's also a special protection for creators: when you first upload something and the very first viewers start requesting it, the platform relays those early transfers through its own servers instead of connecting you directly. This prevents anyone from figuring out who the original uploader is by watching the first connections. The same protection applies during live streams — your broadcast is always relayed so viewers never see your IP address.
How do I get an invitation code?
Difuzzion is invite-only, which helps keep the community safe and trusted. To sign up, you need an invitation code — a short text that someone shares with you. Ask a friend who's already on Difuzzion for a code, or keep an eye on the official Difuzzion channels where the team occasionally shares new codes. Each code has a limited number of uses, so if one doesn't work, it may have already reached its limit.
What kind of notifications will I get?
Difuzzion sends you real-time notifications for all the important stuff:
- When someone follows you
- When someone likes your content
- When someone leaves a comment or reply
- When you level up or complete a mission
- When your wallet balance changes
- When you log in from a new device (so you can spot suspicious activity)
How do I contact support?
If you run into any issues or have a question, head to the Notifications area, open the Support Chat section and open a new ticket. Describe what's going on and the Difuzzion team will get back to you. You can exchange messages back and forth until the issue is resolved. Once everything is sorted, you close the ticket yourself. Each time you open a new ticket, it starts a fresh conversation.
What is the mini player?
The mini player is a small floating player that appears on desktop when you navigate away from a video or audio track that's still playing. Instead of the content stopping, it shrinks into a compact player that stays visible in the corner of your screen. This way you can keep watching a video or listening to music while browsing other content, checking your feed, or reading comments — without any interruption.
Can I search for content?
Yes! The search bar lets you find just about anything on Difuzzion. Type a keyword and you'll see results across all content types. Use the tabs at the top to filter specifically by videos, audio, images, live streams, users, or hashtags. Search is fast and results update as you type, making it easy to discover new creators and content.
What happens if nobody is sharing my content?
Since Difuzzion relies on users to share content across the network, your content needs at least one person actively sharing it to stay available. If your content goes 15 days without anyone sharing it, it will be removed from the platform. The best way to prevent this is to stay active and engage your audience — or upgrade to PRO and pin your most important content, which guarantees it's always being shared by the network.
How do I delete my account?
You can permanently delete your account from Settings > Danger Zone. This action is irreversible — all your content, followers, wallet balance, and account data will be permanently erased. Before deleting, make sure to withdraw any available Stars, as they cannot be recovered after deletion.
What are frozen Stars and why can I not withdraw them?
Stars earned from tips, subscriptions, and promotions enter a 180-day frozen period before they become available for withdrawal. They can still be spent on the platform during this time. The freeze protects against chargebacks and fraud. See the Frozen Stars section for full details.
How do subscriptions work?
You can subscribe to your favourite creators for 500★ per month, giving you access to their subscriber-only content. Subscriptions last 30 days and do not auto-renew — you choose when to resubscribe. If you renew early, the remaining days are added to your existing period.
Can I make my account private?
Yes. You can set your profile to private from your account settings, which means only approved followers can see your content. When someone wants to follow a private account, a follow request is sent that you can accept or decline. You can also control individual content visibility with options like Public, Followers, Subscribers, or Hidden.
What happens to my content when I go offline?
When you close your browser or go offline, you stop sharing content on the network. Your content remains available as long as other users have it cached. If no one has a copy of your content for 15 days, it will be permanently removed. To ensure your content is always accessible, consider using PRO pinning.
